Torod launched their new shipping product :Shipping infrastructure as a service (IaaS) for Platforms | Makane, and Torod signed a strategic partnership to provide shipping solutions for online stores on MakanE platform
Torod is introducing their new shipping product as an infrastructure for IaaS solution. This solution applies to local and as well as international e-commerce platforms wishing to carry out their business easily by obtaining integrated logistical solutions that serve e-commerce. In the presence of the Deputy Minister for Technology, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Nasser, Torod announced the first platform to benefit from this service to be Makane, considered one of the most successful e-commerce platforms in the Middle East.
Makane enables thousands of merchants and customers to digitize their businesses. It also enables small and medium-sized companies, male and female entrepreneurs, and emerging home-based projects to,

Makane, with Torod, will now offer shipping and delivery services for over 12,000 online stores. Merchants can currently ship their products inside and outside the Kingdom by taking advantage of the service providers on the Torod platform.
This does not require the merchant to make any contract, negotiation, or technical connection. Moreover, more than 160 shipping and delivery companies can be accessed by the merchant through one screen and get the native experience without leaving the Merchant’s main dashboard since Torod solution is already embedded in Makane platform.
Stores will now also have a branded tracking page with the store’s logo and identity, making it easier for their customers to track and know the order’s status instantly. On the other hand, the store will be able to manage returns through the return automation solution and the automatic issuance of return policies.
Shipping infrastructure as a service (IaaS) for platforms
During the signing event, Torod announced the launch of its new product, Torod for Platforms. This is a shipping and delivery system as an infrastructure, which enables the eCommerce platforms to provide an integrated shipping system for merchants without the need to contract or negotiate with shipping companies. It also allows these platforms to enter the local market with impressive speed and reliable shipping backend.
Torod for Platform solution differed from other platform apps on the marketplace since those offer a rather complex process. Merchants needed to swap between multiple screens and dashboards, go through contracts, and search for viable shipping companies.
But by tapping on Torod’s flexible API, e-commerce platforms now can include shipping service as a ready-to-use solution; eCommerce platforms guarantee a distinctive experience for their merchants without the need to leave the merchant’s control screen.
